Initially, Rana's idea was to sell the show to a big production house. In 2018, however, I urged her to build an audience digitally and later set a higher price for the show.
Rana filmed the pilot with a crew in 2014, still relevant today; it was essential to launch the work before she lost momentum. Luckily, the guest, Nadine Labaki, received her Oscar nomination around the time of the planned release, which amplified our exposure.
After six months of working on the previously edited episode of 1-hour, I further cutting down long scenes, reducing the fat, and making the convo more upbeat, conversational, and current. The pilot was released in September 2018 and grew Bayneh w Baynek's following to 6K(200%).
