From footage of previous events the client filmed across the world, I was briefed to edit a club video. As with many of my projects, I try to amplify impact, so I treated the video as a high quality music video while equally mixing between Branding, Storytelling, and Creativity.
The Branding emphasized Rodge, either through his logo typeface in different places such as on his headphones, outdoor ads, or his private jet or of him behind his DJ set or on the plane contemplating his next big move.
The story is of Rodge flying across the world, playing at different venues—those different locations represented by different cultural elements like street and airport signs. Creativity came to in form of mixing these two elements using fast-cut editing techniques and overlaying footage to give it a music video feel.
